Our Mission is Simple...
That one heart would come to know or grow in Christ.

Two guys that love the bible, having fun and going off script invite you into their bible study they have been doing together for over 12 years! Instead of reading a whole chapter at a time, they bite off a small piece of scripture that they deliver to you just like a pizza...in 30 minutes or less!!! Using their innate curiosity and the help of their Life Application bible footnotes, their bible study is refreshing and fun! They are not bible scholars by any means but just two regular, everyday guys who turned their bible study from an obligation or Christian duty into a fun time that they look forward to and actually grow closer to God during!
Their hope is that it will provide you with a refreshing way to get into God’s word, help you see how using the Life Application bible can help you gain further insight into the scriptures and maybe prompt you to find a friend or two that you can do a similar style of bible study on your own!
Our tempo in 30 minutes or less for each episode is to:
* Open with a small discussion and prayer
* Read a small bite of scripture
* See if there are any verses that pop out to us or we have any inspired insight on.
* Read the Life Application footnotes for the scripture that was read and discuss what was shared and/or any ”ah ha” moments!
* Close in prayer.
Give us a listen and we guarantee you will have some fun with us (or at least be able to poke some fun at us)! Be great and enjoy the gift of today! :)

This episode explores why religious leaders questioned Jesus about fasting and how Jesus answered with parables: the bridegroom, the torn garment, and the new wine in new wineskins. The hosts discuss how fasting is meant to shift your focus to God, how timing matters (feasting while the bridegroom is present, fasting afterward), and how rigid traditions can block the new work of the Spirit.
They also talk about practical, modern approaches to fasting—such as giving up social media, starting with half-day fasts, and using the urge to eat or scroll as a trigger to pray—and acknowledge physical limits and health concerns that make some types of fasting unsuitable for everyone.
The conversation emphasizes accountability in Bible study and spiritual growth, the need for churches to be biblically rooted yet open to fresh methods, and encouragement to use fasting as a tool to deepen prayer and reshape habits in a distracted digital age.

In this episode the hosts start with playful banter about technical difficulties and a clever coffee acronym: "Christ Offers Forgiveness For Everyone Everywhere." They then dive into Luke 5:27–32, where Jesus calls Levi (also known as Matthew), who immediately leaves his tax booth to follow Him and hosts a banquet for other tax collectors and sinners.
The conversation explores why Matthew’s immediate response matters, the cultural stigma around tax collectors, and how Jesus’ choice to eat with outcasts challenged religious norms. The hosts highlight Jesus’ answer to the Pharisees: "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick," and emphasize that Jesus came to call sinners to repentance.
Using relatable examples—from Solomon’s emptiness to modern celebrity success—the episode connects the biblical story to everyday life and encourages listeners to invite others to meaningful conversations, even over a simple cup of coffee. The hosts stress that sharing faith is about offering grace and leaving the results to God.
The episode closes with a prayer and a practical charge: invite someone for coffee, share the gospel, and remember that the church is a place for those who recognize their need for healing.

In this episode the hosts talk about friendship and share personal stories before diving into Luke 5:17–26, the account of a paralyzed man who was lowered through a roof to reach Jesus. They highlight the faith of the man’s friends, which moved Jesus to forgive sins and heal the man, showing both spiritual and physical restoration.
The conversation explains the historical details of homes and roofs, reflects on the Pharisees’ reaction, and emphasizes that Jesus’ authority to forgive sins points to his identity and the coming of the messianic age. The hosts draw practical lessons about the importance of loving God, loving neighbors, and being willing to go the extra mile to help others.
Listeners are encouraged to be friends who bring others to Christ, to value simple foundational truths of faith, and to share the good news with courage and compassion.

In this episode we read Luke 5:12 and explore the story of Jesus healing a man with leprosy, a condition that in biblical times marked people as ritually unclean and led to social isolation.
We discuss the leper's humble faith—"Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean"—and Jesus' compassionate response in touching and restoring him. Jesus then instructs the man to show himself to the priest so he can be officially declared clean and rejoin the community.
The conversation highlights key themes: Jesus reaches out to the marginalized, healing restores dignity and belonging, the power of humble faith, and the importance of withdrawing to pray even amid growing crowds.
Practical takeaways include reaching out with God's love to those who are isolated, making time for quiet prayer to receive strength, and sharing testimonies that point others to God's compassion and power.

In this episode the hosts walk through Luke 5 and the story of Jesus and the miraculous catch of fish. Jesus teaches from Simon Peter's boat, instructs him to cast the nets again, and the fishermen haul in such a great catch that their boats begin to sink.
The hosts explore Peter’s immediate reaction—his humility and astonishment—and how Jesus uses the moment to call Peter, James, and John to follow him and become fishers of people. They highlight the mix of everyday work, faith, and obedience in the scene.
Through conversation and personal stories the episode connects the passage to life application: obeying God’s prompts even when it’s inconvenient, trusting God’s timing, and recognizing that God cares about our daily needs as well as our eternal salvation.
The hosts encourage listeners not to give up when efforts seem fruitless, to respond to small nudges to reach out to others, and to leave the old behind when Jesus calls. The episode closes with prayer and a reminder that God’s abundance can come in unexpected moments.

This episode opens with a warm personal story about restoring a bike and bringing it back to its original owner, a "full circle" moment that leads into a study of Luke 4:38–44.
We read how Jesus heals Simon Peter’s mother‑in‑law instantly and then she immediately focuses on serving, then lays hands on many who are sick and casts out demons who cry out that he is the Son of God. The hosts explore Jesus’ authority, the importance of personal touch in healing, and why he silenced the demons to reveal his identity on God’s timetable.
The episode also highlights Jesus seeking solitude at dawn for prayer and renewal, and his commitment to proclaim the good news to other towns as his mission. Practical applications include the meaning of complete healing, the call to serve others after being restored, the value of quiet time with God, and respecting each person’s journey of faith.
Listeners are encouraged to reflect on service, prayer, and sharing the gospel as they go about their day.

In this episode the hosts walk through Luke 4:31–37, where Jesus teaches in Capernaum with surprising authority and drives a demon out of a man in the synagogue. The crowd is amazed, and word quickly spreads about his power.
The conversation highlights key themes: demons recognize Jesus’ identity, his words carry authority, and even places of worship can be infiltrated by evil. The hosts reflect on Jesus’ strategic ministry, his clear and decisive response, and the dramatic, nonviolent healing of the man.
They also share personal reflections on the Bible’s adaptability—how scripture reveals new insights at different life stages—and warn against judging people by their past. The episode encourages listeners to lean into scripture, trust Jesus’ authority, and let God shape their perspective and future.
Ultimately the episode invites listeners to trust Christ, study the Bible for ongoing "aha" moments, and share the good news with others.

In this episode the hosts read and unpack Luke 4, where Jesus declares the fulfillment of Isaiah's prophecy in his hearing and is initially praised, then rejected by his own townspeople. They discuss his provocative remark, "Physician, heal yourself," and the examples of Elijah and Elisha sent to outsiders, which inflames the crowd.
The conversation explores the themes of hometown expectations, rejection of prophets, the surprising reach of God’s favor beyond familiar groups, and how people’s past perceptions can obscure new transformations. The hosts add historical context and practical reflections to clarify the passage.
Listeners are invited to consider personal lessons about judgment, patience, and witnessing to change, and encouraged to share the good news of Jesus. The episode blends Bible study, honest questions, and pastoral insight.

We use to study the bible out of obligation or "Christian duty" but then we found out that getting together with a friend, going with the flow on how much scripture you read, getting insights from those much smarter about scripture (from a Life Application bible) and just having some curiosity and open, honest conversation was the formula of turning our "duty" into something we not only enjoyed but looked forward to doing! Listen in on one of our studies together and see if this style of studying the bible inspires you to have fun studying the scriptures and helps you grow closer to God! :)
